Poetry Program

On February 28, 2021, Sumon Dutta organized a poetry program aboard our Brahmaputra Pearl river tour boat. The event was attended by many members of the north bank and south bank Kabish Society as well as members of the local academic community. The prominent poet Dr. Karabi Deka Hazarika gave a speech to the poets followed by a moving poem. Other poets who participated included Ratul Kumar Lahon of Lakhimpur, Dhemaji's Bipul Sharma, Naveen Burhagohain, Pranati Devi Sharma, Akash Banti Gogoi, Dr. Lekhon Gogoi. Nayanmoni Mahanta, Bhuwan Das. Geetanjali of Namrup Barkataki. Couple of Konwar and Lahowal Sabua's Lakshminandan Borgohain, Juri Bora Borgohani, Asthajita Borgohai Bhupen Gogoi of Moran, Mansi Gogoi, Mridul Kumar Gogoi and poetry workers. Seniram Gogoi of Dibrugarh, Dr. Ranjit Baruah, Dr. Nirod Gohain, Dr. Rita Bora, Sukumar Chetia, Amitabh Phukan, Nilabh Nayan Bordoloi, Nimisha Saikia, Deepali Lahan Dihingia, Chintu Samir Borgohai, Rudra Gogoi, Vikash Gogoi and Mridu Nath. Pranay Phukan of Poetry Study Group, Dr. Vinod Chandra Bora, Dr. Kalyan Bhuyan, Project Ranjan Bhagwati, Vaidya Bright Burhagohain, etc.
