CSR - Covid Food Relief
April 2020 - During Covid-19 lockdown in India, ABCD Exploration donated food which co-founder Bumoni (Dhiraj Bikash) Gogoi delivered to families in need in rural areas near Dibrugarh, Assam. Work on our SB Brahmaputra Pearl river tour boat had to stop for 2 weeks due to lockdown. During these 2 weeks, ABCD Exploration continued to provide food and lodging to our 23 workers who were caught at our camp-site far from their families. We also arranged for money to be sent to their families even while they were not earning wages. When lockdown was lifted, we provided each of the workers with a train ticket, masks and food money for the journey home.
